Good luck getting off that stuff! You CAN do it!! |
I have MS too - used to drink diet Pepsi but not anymore! Aspartame is SO bad for you! Since I've stopped consuming aspartame and started taking high doses of vitamin D my MS has not progressed. It's been over 5 years, and no progression at all. I've actually gotten a bit better!
I don't know if this is what is in that article but aspartame can actually make you GAIN weight because your body gets confused - it expects the calories when you drink but doesn't get the calories so it stores the calories from the next thing you eat or drink instead, just in case you try to trick it again. Not good.
I know it's hard but it's really not much different than smoking. It's an addiction, it's bad for you, it's hard to kick, but if you want to live a long healthy life you really need to give it up. To everyone trying to kick the aspartame habit - I wish you all the success in the world, you can do it!
