I will say though, some undiagnosed skin issues can be a disaster if left untreated. Some skin issues can go "internal" too, such as yeast - which can become systemic. If it is one of the more serious skin issues, it could cost wayyyyy more later, if you wait - and it could also affect his immune system. Maybe that would help your husband understand that he should be seen now?
It might also help if you start a new thread, explain in great detail what is going on w/ your pup, and outline his exact diet - and maybe some of us can help in the meantime.
