Your new little guy is also very handsome Good luck with him in the ring and/or in the start of your new breeding program.

I would recommend to yes, shave the ears on both your blue and your new guy. They both look like their ears are on their way up, and I'm guessing that once you get the weight of the hair off of their ears, they will be standing erect before you know it.

Good luck to you!
The blue guys ears have been up since he was 9 weeks old. It's my little guy that is still a little floppy. I am still unsure about showing. From 5-17 I showed paint horses, I loved it and hated it at the same time. It is all about who you know and how much money you have. I loved the traveling every weekend and winning of course, but at times there are those judges that place a bad gaited horse over you because they don't care for the color of your horse, their size, breed or your gear, etc... it is just insane.I am afraid it will be the same in the yorkie ring. I've heard stories of how the judges don't know what they are doing in terms of knowing the breed. And of course it's just one's opinion of your dog, but when you are unfairly judged it becomes frustrating. I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut, so maybe I would be better off having someone else exhibit for me. I guess that will be a discission I will make at a later time. I am sure I will try it at least once. It is good to get to know other fanciers, and first hand knowledge is better than book knowledge, I think. What better place to meet other Yorkie lovers, other than here of course.
