Your new little guy is also very handsome Good luck with him in the ring and/or in the start of your new breeding program.
I would recommend to yes, shave the ears on both your blue and your new guy. They both look like their ears are on their way up, and I'm guessing that once you get the weight of the hair off of their ears, they will be standing erect before you know it.
