I have the Boyz on Comfortis. Pricey at around $10 a pill. It goes by weight, under 11, then 11 and over. It has to be given with food. When I asked the Vet Tech with/after, she said best right after when their tummy is full. Capstar is another pill. It's supposed to start killing fleas w/in 1/2 an hour after taking and lasts for around 24 hours. It can be purchased by sites such as PetMeds but be careful about expiration dates.
