The most common food allergies for dogs are: milk, eggs, soy, corn, wheat, chicken and beef.
I think there are far better foods than RC, but you could do worse too. Personally, I like to avoid grains that are more common allergens to dogs. I now feed raw, and before that fed homecooked, and before that fed a grain-free kibble.
