I had a problem with a "religious group" every week when I first bought my house. When I saw them coming, I'd go on the front porch, tell them I wasn't interested and not to come back, then go inside and close the door. It didn't work!
It continued for a YEAR! Every Saturday morning - until one time they knocked just as I was getting out of bed. I went outside in full pj regalia - told them that if they came back again I was going to call 911 and have their asses locked up for trespassing! Then I called the sheriff's department and asked them - very up front - if I COULD have them locked up for trespassing and was told that since I'd warned them and asked them repeatedly not to come back - that I could.
I also put a BIG sign on the post beside the steps that says "NO ___________". I called their local headquarters and told the head knocker that if they showed up on my property one more time, they were going to jail and that I WOULD press charges. They haven't been back in 8 months and counting.
You gotta do what you gotta do............
