Interceptor does appear to be a better dosage for Yorkies, however, the dose that would hill heartworm larva is 1/5 of the dose that you are giving. They added the extra 4/5 to claim that it controls intestinal parasites.
So they are getting 4 times more than they need...still an overdose. You can Google safeheart milbemycin oxime FDA and read about it. The safeheart dose is availbable in other countries if I'm understanding this correctly. By the way, I use Interceptor also.
