I wouldn't panic just yet. Wipe the area with white toilet paper and see if the discharge is actually "white" or if it is more of a light pink. If it is not white, but is pink (has small amount of blood mixed in), then she is more than likely in heat. Being in heat is when they do bleed (what you are referring to as her period). You should see some swelling as well. Please check and see what color the discarge actually is and we'll see if we can help you out with more info.
