I am the owner of a Puppy Mill puppy, I didn't purchase my baby directly from a Pet Store - she was rehomed to me at 3 months of age because the people who bought her had no idea that puppies required things like a crate, a harness, walks and housebreaking.
It breaks my heart everytime I see something on the news or on YT boards about Puppy Mills and how the poor animals are treated.
I have never owned a dog before as an adult (had one as a child, it was my Fathers dog). I am so thankful for the education, it will help me in the future when I get another dog and more importantly it helps me with SophieKate (the Puppy Mill puppy). When I found out where the people who rehomed her bought her I made my Vet aware - together with my Vet we are making sure SophieKate is happy, healthy and hopefully has no long term effects of where she was born.
