ya, I was curious about that too. This is what they say on the site about enzymes. It makes me wonder...

Many pet owners are led to believe that enzymes are going to "eat" the urine. The truth is that:

Enzymes begin losing strength as soon as they are bottled.


If other cleaners have been used first, the chemicals from those cleaners can kill the enzymes.


Enzymes must be used at a specific, narrow temperature range to be effective.


Enzymes often temporarily reduce odor, only to allow the odor to return days or weeks later.
