My Pom did this with her puppies at 3&1/2 weeks. They are still very tiny and do need thier momma's milk but if momma dont want to nurse them you gotta step in. I tried keeping all of them in the bathroom with the door shut but she would snap at the pups. I didn't want her to hurt them,,,, She would play with them but just didn't mother them. So I had to bottle feed the little ones and luckly they took to baby food too. I kept them on sub. milk for dogs and cats and chicken & rice baby food. I kept this up for 2 weeks,,, by that time they were eatting dry puppy food on thier own. 3 out of 4 did great. Not that the 4th did badly, but stood with the bottle feeding and baby food for 2 weeks longer they the others. It was so upseting to see momma nipping at the babies when they would try and feed. All puppies are healty and went to good homes and I do keep intouch with 2 of them but I hear that the other 2 are just fine. They went to family or friends of the father. (my neighbor) So she tells me that they are all doing just fine.
