Maybe it is the dark because she seems to be fine during the day. She actually leaves me and walks into her crate to nap. She is by herself in the room during the day and doesn't seem to mind. At night I am next to her and she is waking up every hour. I tried leaving the door open but found poop around the room and one night I even found just smudges of poop and her face full of it so now I am freaked out that if I leave her on her own to wander during the night she will start this habit.
I wonder also if its too quite at night because in the day when she is sleeping I always have the tv on or the radio so even if I am at the computer she always hears noise or voices. Should I have something on during the night? I am a light sleeper dont know if it will affect me but I would be willing to try.
I think I am getting her into a habit. As for the letting her cry and not giving in, I've considered it but then I always worry what if she really has to go??? The majority of the time she doesn't but sometimes she does.
