Oh, I'm so glad to hear Veer is ok. How awful your DH must feel!! We got puppy bells from PetSmart to put on Gracie Ruth and Yogi's collar when they were little, as my DH could never learn to do the Yorkie Shuffle.
Perhaps a bell on him will help your DH to know when he's close by.
Also, like some others have said, have your DH be the one to feed him for a few days. Treats, meals, walkies, etc...it'll help Veer see that good things come from Daddy too.
