I was a nervous wreck with Oliver...prayed every night for God to please not take him away from me (he wasnt even sick!) Just all the reading on hear of things that happened to others scared me beyond scared! I finally, took all my fears to the vet and she told me to relax that for the most part these a very healthy little dogs....that being said i decided to try and enjoy Oliver. Mind you, they are a breed that needs more attention because of their small size, but, once you get in the mode of being extra careful and watchful, it gets easier to enjoy them. They give so much love.....I now have Brooklyn too and i love them both so much and enjoy them too. I still worry, but not to the point that i did with Oliver..try to relax and put it in Gods hands...i did!
