It has been more than 30 years since I've had a human infant in the house, but all of the "mommy stuff" that goes along with having a new baby in the house came flooding back! I checked her regularly to see if she was breathing...checked to make sure she was warm enough/not too warm...monitored the amount of food and fluids she took in, etc. etc.
It's been 3 weeks, she sleeps less, interacts more, but I still watch her like a hawk. I have an uncommonly large bathroom with a ceramic tile floor, so when I can't directly supervise, she is in there with her bed, food and pad. For me, it is JUST like having a new baby in the house! | I do this every night! Put my hand on his little tummy and wait. Try not to worry too much. Everyone is the exact same way with new puppies.
