I am about to start changing over Lucas' food, from Royal Canin mini puppy 33 to Orijen Puppy. I have a couple questions.

Is this a good switch? I have been trying to do my research and this was what I selected, but I want to make sure this is a good change. (I put a few kibbles of the new food in with his old food and he seemed to have picked them out I think he likes the new stuff

)

Also, how gradually should I be changing the food? Like how much sholud be old and how much new and for how long? He eats about a half cup a day.
