Ellie's sometimes poops right after and sometimes a long time after. A lot depends on how many hours before they had eaten (before the meal you just fed).

Any reason you are going to once a day feeding?
I would really consider feeding at least twice a day even in large breeds. Twenty-four hours is a long time to go between meals for any size dog let along a Yorkie. They have to store glucose for an extended period of time. It just seems so much healthier to feed more than once.
