I recently took a three day business trip on extremely short notice and had to board Thor for the first time ever. He was so upset when I left, and I was quite worried about him because he isn't well socialized around other dogs.

I called every day, and the daycare trainer told me on the first and second days that he was doing okay, but clearly not thrilled to be there. THEN, on the third day, she told me that he had started playing with some other dogs.

I got back late Friday night, and almost couldn't sleep because I missed Thor so much. I woke up early and rushed over as soon as the daycare opened to get my baby!

And Thor came out, and was like, "oh, it's you." No jumping, no barking, no squealing, just dead calm. He then proceeded to sleep for the next two days. I swear, someone else gives him a little attention and it's like I don't exist. MEN!

I'm actually happy because he's already much better socialized just from those three days, and I'm planning to take him back to the daycare 1 day / week. But still, would it have been so hard for him to act like life without me is not worth living? Hmph.
