I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember the turmoil behind having to make that decision. I will tell you that when my beloved beagle died I kept his ashes but found it really hard to let go of them. The same applied for a conure I had and dearly loved. I finally buried the ashes and planted trees where they were. Now we have moved and I think about them a lot. We had two other dogs in that house that died and both of them were cremated and buried with other dogs. I miss them but I don't dwell on their burials like I do Buddy's. I think it would be easier in the long run for you to bury the ashes in a pet cemetery or the group burial.
