How long are you sitting for?
If it were me, I would lay down the rules for this dog. You may even teach her some new habits she'll keep with her. I would limit her to one room in the house (laundry room and bathroom?) for the most part, and train her like you would a puppy. Probably more work than you were looking for but I wouldn't let her run around potentialy teaching my puppy bad habits.
Definately don't allow her to do anything your dog isn't. It's your house, you're the boss
