I will be training with pee pads (the washable type) but do not want to place them directly on the floor. I'm hoping that by placing the pee pad in a tray or a dog litter pan the puppy will have an easier time distinguishing the difference between the floor and pad and also things will be kept neater. I was just wondering if anyone could offer their opinion as to which option might work better. Has anyone tried either of these options and if so, could you share your experiences? Thank you so much!
Congratulations on your new baby!! I have a 7 yr old female and 7 mth old male, both use disposable potty pads, I have some on the tray and some on the floor (the arm and hammer brand is excellent it absorbs odors, hard to tear and shread and does not leak thru to the floor) however I find that both my furbabies prefer the pad directly on the floor and will use the pad in the tray as a last resort so you might want to save yourself some time and money. But with a new puppy starting out, she may adjust to the tray because that is all she will know if you start with it.
