I would say that alot of Yorkies don't look like Yorkie's SHOULD look because they aren't well bred. Meaning that the mothers and fathers that are used for breeding don't meet the breed standard - coloring, weight, coat type, etc. etc., etc.. the list goes on and on.
And then of course, some Yorkies don't look like Yorkies because they AREN'T Yorkies, lol. If someone is trying to sell you a Yorkie that doesn't even resemble one, chances are it is a mixed breed that the "breeder" is claiming to be a purebred Yorkshire Terrier.
And yes, Silky Terriers, Carin Terriers and Australian Terriers also resemble the Yorkies quite a bit - but they are different breeds all together. |
