I offered it to my TAffy when she was in labor but she did not want it, anothe breeder told me to offer her low sodium chicken broth and she drank it in between contractions, she also took a bit of nutri cal. After the pups were born and she had rested an hour or so she was very hungry and ATE a LOT of the whelping pudding by itself and by dinner time she ate all her kibble mix with the pudding too.. then after the first day, I started giving her cottage cheese with her kibble for breakfast, and kibble and whelping pudding for lunch and before bed.. also she had kibble and fresh water available all the time..
