Sorry this isn't specifically related to yorkies, but it's about animals (dogs and cats).

The rescue I volunteer... or at least did volunteer at quite a bit last year, just sent us last years statistics. They adopted out 2,365 dogs and cats last year alone. 1,635 were dogs and 674 were cats. They only had an intake of 1,787 dogs and 699 cats in 2008. I think that is excellent that all of those animals found homes!
