I use to feel the same way you do, until I learned more about it. Dogs don't understand or appreciate sex like humans do. Sex for dogs is a hormonal thing, and once these hormones kick in, a dog can be very unhappy if he smells a female from several miles away, yet can't get to her. He can become anxious and moody, and aggressive. Being hit by a car is the number one cause of death in unneutered males. Right now your little guy is basically the same as a young boy, however once the hormones kick in, he'll be like a teenager looking for love in all the wrong places. Neutering help keeps them a healthful happy puppy, instead of a raging bull.
