I used them for the first month to learn is potty schedule. like how long after eating and playing did he need to go..some books say 45 mins some say 30 for him it was an 50 mins to a hour he needed to go outside. once i learned his patteren and he learned that it was a bad idea to go in the house i took them off. He doenst wear them anymore now that he like to lift his leg and go outside... i say they are a good start and great when you take them to others ppls houses and they are fully trained...
