Welcome to the wonderful world of motherhood!
You have just got to increase his independence of you.
When you have to leave the room for a minute, get him interested in one of his toys or chewies. Try to do this whenever you have to go to the bathroom or next room for a minute. Also, never stick his nose in his pee or bowl movement. That really only teaches him to be mean.
Because you are forcing his head into something I am sure you would not want your head forced into. Instead, (we have a new 12 week old); every time he gets up from a nap or feeding we put him right on his potty pads and say "potty". He is practically already trained. This does take a lot of time, but it is well worth it. And remember, he is just a baby, and like a human baby, it is going to take time and effort to train him into the dog you want him to be. But as much love as I see here for your little one, this should not be a problem at all for you! Best wishes with your little baby. |
