If they're not barking to go potty, which does sounds like the most likely reason to bark, they may be barking because they are hearing something that happens around that time every morning - maybe the neighbor leaves for work then, or maybe a nearby bird wakes up and starts making noise, or who knows what.

We've had that issue recently with the other half of our duplex being shown to potential buyers early in the morning on the weekends. It was driving me crazy. So I tried turning on the bathroom fan to create some white noise to hopefully drown out the other little noises - and it worked! We even had someone drilling into our concrete on the front porch the other day, but with the white noise from the fan, Nikko didn't even act like he noticed.
