If they are going to insist upon a medical release for this procedure why do they not for ALL procedures involving pets? After all, there are risks involved with most medical procedures.
You're probably right, this is another step along the way of banning the practice in the States. I would find another vet and let the current one know exactly why you're leaving. Or, is this required of all vets now?
