This sounds a lot like me 3 years ago. I worked from home and Punkin would bark when I was on the phone.
If you distract with food and toys it may be reinforcing the bad behavior. I gently shook some pennies in a can and that worked after the first couple of times. My only concern is that this scared her into behaving. I didn't know better at the time.
