 Get a 2nd Opinion
I have the same thing going on with my Yorkie and I got a 2nd opinion. The first Vet didn't tell me what stage he is in but he did tell me it wasn't serious enough to do surgery. I got a second opinion and he went into more detail of what a luxating patella is and told me what stage he is in. It isn't serious enough to do surgery as well as telling me that Maxwell will put his leg down when running when it pops back into place. This is normal for small dogs that jump too, he also mentioned. Perhaps, there are other Vets in another area of town whom can offer more information to you. Good Luck. |
