When they teeth it becomes really tough for them and they look for new things to help with the discomfort

what did help is completely puppy proof the rooms they are in

Take it away
keep them in only the rooms they Need to be in
the best toys I found are chewies that are thin that they can get into they nooks and crannies
When they get into the "crazies"
when they are really chewing on things pick your pup up and hold a chewie in your hand and let him go to town on it
your holding it will allow him to bite down harder and you'll help him alleviate some of the discomfort that way
