No reputable breeder would ever sell their puppies to a petstore. Reputable breeders care about their puppies and want to know where they are going so that they can be sure they are placed in the best homes possible.
Petland does get all their puppies from Puppymills. Some of your small, local petstores may also purchase from backyard breeders...but all breeders that sell to petstores must be USDA licensed for commercial selling. But none of these petstores get puppies from reputable breeders, no matter what lies they feed to their customers. Petstores get their puppies from Puppymills.
