I had quit giving my boys raw hide bones because Pippin almost chocked on a knotted one. My trainer told me that the long rolled ones were fine so I gave them each one yesterday. I think Marley may have chewed off too big of piece and has it caught in the lower part of his throat. He was weezing a little last night and my daughter wondered if it was the raw hide so we took it away. About an hour ago he woke me up weezing harder. Like he was trying to cough something up. It lasted a minute and he stopped. He did it again about 5 minutes later.

I called the emergency vet and he said since his gums are pink and he seemed to be breathing alright that I could hold off until 10 o'clock and bring him in during their regular hours. I don't know if my nerves can handle wait a couple more hours.
