I think the temp thing can be different for different females. The one litter I had so far, the females temp was 99.? when she whelped. From what I remember reading, there is often the spike & then drop; at the drop labor starts within 12-24 hours. In my one experiance so far, I didn't even get a chance to do the daily temp chart as she had the pups a week earlier than we had thought.
