Animal Health Care - Scooting May Indicate Anal Gland Problems
I am extremely surprised! Bella has had anal gland issues since a puppy & also itching problems as well. I was searching everything I could & discussed with Vet. She will be 2 yrs old in a couple of months & it is now soooo much better. I also discussed with the Vet that the hair on her back legs/behind did not grow? As a puppy she had really thick hair, especially in that area. I often wondered & questioned the Vet if it had any relation to her gland issues which he always said "she was just probably losing her puppy fur". But it was only in that area?? Anyway, I've tried different diets. She is now on Natural Balance & I have added flaxseed oil to her food. I can't tell you how much better she is. It's so Wonderful that she isn't miserably itching anymore And the hair is growing nicely on her back legs/backside now!! I truly believe the flaxseed helped & it's also an ingredient in NB dog food. I hope you find what works best for Romeo!!
