You would think but.... You would be contacted by an agent and put through a standard "vetting process" before you know who is interested in one of your puppies. You would then agree to confidentiality for a period of time to allow them to make sure that they are going to be happy. If you want to be able to talk about it later you should expect to offer the puppy at a reduced cost or free (this is never stated it's just understood). The permission to use a celebrity's name or image, which implies a tacit endorsement, may cost tens of thousands of dollars, much more than the cost of a puppy. Using the name or image without their approval will get you introduced to a three thousand dollar per hour lawyer
. When you deal with a huge public image the rules are completely different. They live under a microscope and simply adding a new pet is a mine field of political correctness.
If she did in fact place a puppy with a celebrity like Steven Tyler...she's got that picture hanging in the foyer.
