All mine wear collars with a brass heart engraved with their names and my telephone number. My property has a masonry wall all the way around it, and a walled courtyard with dog-proof gates set into the arches out front. No matter how you approach my house, you have to go through at least two gates or doors to reach the outside...and still, my Maltese have managed to get out twice in the four years I have lived here! And those brass tags are how I got them back.

When Puddin' is big enough to have free roam of the house, she will also wear a collar and tags (she had a cat collar with a bell right now so we can keep track of her). It is just too easy for them to do something unexpected and end up out there!
