I wouldn't use them, although they made a new formula the new formula still isn't 100% digestible, and a small piece that isn't 100% digestible could lodge in the intestine, and cause an obstruction. Large breeds with bigger intestines wouldn't as likely have a problem with a tiny piece, but Yorkie's intestines are much smaller in diameter, and a small piece could cause difficulty. Symptoms to watch for are constipation, lack of appetite, and vomiting. With an obstruction, gangrene can set in, and the results are often deadly.
