So was my husband & son, their lives depended on it. It was not about the money we had paid for Parker, he was our baby. I had always kept him with me, where ever I went. This time dh thought it best to leave him at home since most of my time was going to be spent being a caregiver to his parents. Since that has happened, all of them are chipped & I have someone come & stay at my home to care for them if we are unable to take them with us. As for a neighbor, I think the sight of my son scared them enough to come clean.
As I told dh, imagine what would have happened if they hadn't been honest? I would have become a widow & sonless
