I'm still debating whether or not to have my Tinky microchipped or not, and also spayed, as all this 'theiving' business unsettles me, and even if she were microchipped, whoever would have taken her may actually keep her for their-self (as these type of dogs are not only adorable but also highly expensive) but then again if she were to be sold on somebody might check for the micro-chip.
As for spaying, someone told me there can be a lot of complications with smaller dogs under anaesthetic/dealing with internal organs - I'm not sure on the truth of this but it scares the life out of me to think she would be in any danger for her life. I don't plan to breed her and she never leaves my sight while she's outside/with other dogs, and she's not one to run off either (even off lead she won't leave my side, she's too timid), she's already come into season once (she is 1 in April) and I've heard spaying after this period of time can increase the risk of cancer???
So I'm really stuck on the spaying issue - I'd gladly have her micro-chipped thinking about it, but spaying...?
