Good news! When I went to visit Violet this evening, she was EATING!! They are still giving her liquid food down her nasal tube, but they had put a little dog food in with her, some wet prescription food, and she ate it!!! I was so happy to see her eating. And so were the two vet techs taking care of her. After she ate she seemed like maybe she wasn't feeling so great, and she lay down and was shaking a bit. But the fact that she was showing interest in food, and was willing to eat, is a huge improvement.
Thanks for the reminder that I shouldn't get upset about Violet's shaking and whatnot. She only shakes when I visit, so I feel badly that I'm stressing her out, but I'm sure it's not because she doesn't want to see her mommy.
With any luck, Violet will be able to come home tomorrow. I am really hoping the food she ate tonight has stayed down - I need to call before I go to bed and check.
