The package says nothing about that.
I don't apply and then brush right away though.
They give you sticks or you can use your finger.
I find it easy but sticky and gross but Ellie lets me in her mouth though, so I suppose it is different for different pups.
With Yorkies, it lasts double as long because you can split the containers, so anyone who uses it and your vet hasn't told you, you only need to spend half as much...
