I am sooooo sorry about the loss of your little guy. That is fear of mine that has kept me from getting my little girl spayed.
Maddie has been through 2 heats and I will soon be getting her spayed,i fI can overcome these fears
Maddie seems to find it hard to get comfortable just before her heat, she paces around, lies down, only to get up and move somewhere else. I have not noticed a change in mood or temperment with her before. She seems to loose her appetite a little for a few days as well.
I really don't have any suggestions for ya. sorry, but I think the heated blankets are a great idea. I wonder if a heating pad on the lowest setting would work, then she could lay for as long or little as she needed. Good Luck. Oh, I have found the little panties at Build-a-Bear work great. THey already have little holes for their tails.
