Where did you get that drive? I looked for it on amazon and not sure I'm finding the right one. For auto-backups, do you have to remember to always leave the drive connected then (I have a laptop)? And then you just program the backups through utilities? |

They are more reliable than the internet, IMHO.

I bought mine at Best Buy, but I am sure they are available at many online and other electronci stores.
It is called a FreeAgent Drive and there are different versions. There is no remembering involved. All you have to do is set up what drives you want backed up and when, and the drive does the rest. For example, I do a lot of photo/video stuff, and I have the drive set up to do auto backups on all pictures/video. Thats it. Nothing more. You can leave it powered all the time, I have a desktop, but all you have to do with a laptop is make sure to connect it to the usb/ and or firewire.
