Believe me I would not "let" her catch a rat. I thought she was trying to get to the neighbors dog on the other side of the fence. When I saw she had half of her head under then fence I ran to her because I was afraid she would go under the fence and into the neighbors yard and right as I got there she pulled the rat out from under the fence and attacked it. The minute I saw the rat I grabbed Gracie away because of disease or even rat poison. Thank goodness I was watching her and got her away from it before she broke any skin or drew blood. The problem now might be her instinct to hunt them and unfortunately we have a lot of big healthy "looking" rats around here. |
