I have not heard of Diamond either. The trick is to f ind out what your little puppy likes to eat the best when looking at a higher quality food. The breeder had Suzi on Purina which is NOT a good food either so I switched/ first to Science diet then found out that was a low quality food too. Then I went to A food that is By Nature. It rated a 4 , However they also make canned foods which are all the way to a 6, so I supplement her diet with the kibble and canned. Suzi loves the canned , but it is over $2.00 for one can. It is protein rich and very healthy. I leave her kibble out all the time with fresh water, then feed her the canned once a day too. Suzi is 11 months old and is in perfect condition.
When switching, always do it slowly to advoid stomach upset.
