I have been researching this too as Mika has slow growing hair and a couple of points that I've found is SILKY hair is slow growing and rarely matts whereas COTTON hair is very fast growing but its matts ALOT! I'm pretty sure Mika has SILKY hair, she has never had a matt or even a tangle and I don't even brush her every day-its very slow growing but it'll be worth it when all that puppy hair grows out and she will be left with long silky locks
