What I am worried about, as are all reputable, responsible breeders, is the wording on all the legislation being introduced in almost all the states, much of it spurred on by peta and H$. They seem to lump mills, hobby/exhibitor breeders and bybers all in the same boat. They feel that a breeder is a breeder is a breeder. Cut and dried. Most non-breeders do not think of the ramifications if these bills are passed worded the way they are.Non-breeders dont seem to understand what rights will be taken away from the people who are so very passionate about their specific breed. |
I'm not up to date on each State's take on new legislation, but I find it hard to believe that dogs will not be able to be bred for show? I might be wrong though.
But in any case, if you are a lover of the breed, I'm afraid that there will ALWAYS be PURE BRED animals in rescue beyond my lifetime. So don't worry you will always be able to have a yorkie!
