What I am worried about, as are all reputable, responsible breeders, is the wording on all the legislation being introduced in almost all the states, much of it spurred on by peta and H$. They seem to lump mills, hobby/exhibitor breeders and bybers all in the same boat. They feel that a breeder is a breeder is a breeder. Cut and dried. Most non-breeders do not think of the ramifications if these bills are passed worded the way they are.Non-breeders dont seem to understand what rights will be taken away from the people who are so very passionate about their specific breed.
I'm not up to date on each State's take on new legislation, but I find it hard to believe that dogs will not be able to be bred for show? I might be wrong though.

But in any case, if you are a lover of the breed, I'm afraid that there will ALWAYS be PURE BRED animals in rescue beyond my lifetime. So don't worry you will always be able to have a yorkie!
